Stephen Edison is Boston Consulting Group’s Chief Product Officer for its global industry and functional practices. In this role, he leads the firm’s efforts to modernize how BCG serves clients through AI-enabled workflows, solutions, and products.
Previously, Stephen led BCG’s tech and digital advantage work for technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) clients worldwide, and served as North America lead for customer experience.
He advises companies across industries—including TMT and services—on AI-driven transformation and innovation. He also co-leads BCG’s support for AI adoption in law firms, helping professional services organizations leverage AI to enhance productivity, client service, and competitive advantage.
Stephen’s expertise spans B2B and B2C e-commerce, customer experience optimization, churn management, omnichannel strategy, and AI-powered product design. He has also supported private equity diligence in software and IT services, drawing on his considerable experience as a development practitioner.
Before joining BCG, Stephen was a Vice President in the Alternative Investments Group at Merrill Lynch, where he designed hedge-fund-based financial products.
