In her column for Forbes , BCG’s Julia Dhar asserts that deprioritizing is an as equally valuable skill as prioritizing. She explains that deprioritizing initiatives that no longer serve an organization’s goals requires conscious, public decisions that often involve accepting greater risk in another area. “There are times and circumstances when leaders need to reprioritize—and if that means reducing exposure in one market to focus more heavily on another, they do it,” she writes.
