Duncan Melville is a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Energy, Industrial Goods, and Corporate Finance & Strategy practices. His client work focuses on natural resources, including oil and gas, metals, and agriculture. He has experience in cyclical commodity settings including copper, metallurgical coal, natural gas, oil, potash, and zinc, as well as precious metals.
Since joining BCG in 2016, Duncan has gained experience in finance, HR, and technical functions, with a heavy emphasis on strategy and shareholder value creation topics.
Outside of BCG, Duncan is equally committed to his involvement in the community as the current Sports & Major Events Committee Chair for Tourism Calgary, and a Board Member of YMCA Calgary. He was previously Board Chair of Distress Centre Calgary. He is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the New York State Bar. Before joining the firm, Duncan worked in infrastructure private equity.
