Jack Bugas is a member of Boston Consulting Group's Consumer and Climate & Sustainability practices. He joined BCG in 2013, and has worked in the New York, Copenhagen, and Chicago offices.

Jack's main area of focus is the future of food production and distribution. He has a deep interest in sustainability topics including consumer packaged goods (CPG) decarbonization, sustainable and circular packaging, food systems transformation, alternative proteins, and nature-based solutions.

In recent engagements, Jack has developed strategies for clients to harness sustainability for competitive advantage, including reimagining business models for sustainability and circularity, scaling regenerative agriculture, decarbonizing chemicals supply chains, and operationalizing sustainable packaging. Jack has worked at the intersection of climate and digital with CO2.AI, BCG’s AI-powered emissions baselining and optimization tool, and in recently designing the program strategy for a US foundation to develop digital assets for climate-smart agriculture.

Jack also has impact investing experience, having worked with multiple venture capital funds in sustainability, education, and criminal justice.
