Jinyoung Baek is a leading member of Boston Consulting Group’s Industrial Goods, Energy, and Climate & Sustainability practices in Korea. His expertise includes new business and growth strategy, operational capability diagnosis and enhancement, global M&A, and post-merger integration (PMI), particularly in the chemicals, energy, and advanced materials industries.
Since joining BCG, Jinyoung has developed renewable energy, hydrogen, and global expansion strategies for Korean and global energy companies, and revitalization strategies for the Korean nuclear power industry. He has supported green business entry, portfolio development, and feasibility validation for major Korean chemical players in areas such as bio-materials, fuel, and semiconductor materials. He also assessed cross-border M&A and synergies in Europe and Japan.
In operations, he has led production and logistics optimization, diagnosed core capabilities across R&D, sales, tech service, manufacturing, and global expansion, and defined long-term growth strategies.
