Malte Hippe is a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Energy practice with a focus on development, construction, and operation of large-scale renewable energy projects. He has special expertise in offshore and onshore wind operations. Malte is an experienced operations professional with more than 20 years of global hands-on experience in power generation, chemicals, and various other heavy industries, in over 40 countries.
Before joining BCG in 2023, Malte spent six years as Vice President Offshore Operations Central EU and Managing Director of the German branch of Danish renewables utility Orsted. Before that, he was one of the global leading experts in operations excellence, maintenance, and reliability of heavy assets and digital manufacturing at McKinsey & Company. He is a mechanical engineer by training.
