BCG X Social Impact Accelerator
Started in 2019, this annual program is an employee-led initiative with a mission to use BCG X's methodology, network, and talent to make a positive social and environmental impact. We do this by bringing the skills we already have—company building and startup acceleration—to established ventures that otherwise we might not have the opportunity to work with.
Accelerate your impact and make your mark—at no cost
In the Social Impact Accelerator program, we work with early-stage start-ups and NGOs with a clear social impact; we bring together advanced tech knowledge and ambitious entrepreneurship to help you launch new product offerings and accelerate your traction.
You can think of us as a versatile sparring partner who will support whatever area you need help with most. We are designers, engineers, data scientists, product managers, growth and marketing experts, and business consultants with a strong expertise in building new solutions to address the world’s most important challenges and opportunities.
As a pro-bono initiative, we don’t take equity or any fee for this program—which is why our careful selection process ends with a pitching session, where all BCG X employees in EMESA can vote to select the winner(s).
Our process in a nutshell
We invite ventures to apply based on the current topic area chosen for the Social Impact Accelerator program. From the pool of applications, we find the ventures that are the best fit for the kind of work we do, and who we are best able to support and work with in our mission to unlock untapped impact.
The seven most promising ventures will be invited to pitch their initiative, with our support in developing the pitch, to the entire BCG X EMESA staff. The top 2-3 initiatives (pending capacity and required support) will then work with us during the year—just as BCG X would work with any venture.
