Marking the 14th year of partnership, BCG continues its association with FICCI and IBA for the largest annual banking conference on August 25–26, 2025. The theme for FIBAC 2025 is “Charting New Frontiers.”

Over the years, the conference has truly positioned itself as one of a kind in terms of knowledge dissemination and relationship building. This year’s conference of industry stalwarts and global thought leaders will showcase how Indian banking is charting new frontiers, highlighting opportunities, challenges, and what must be done to achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

As a part of this conference, we discuss how India’s banking sector is well-positioned but must accelerate transformation to meet the country’s long-term ambitions - by expanding into untapped credit segments, unlocking productivity with GenAI, delivering global-quality digital experiences, and embedding a strong risk culture.

BCG has collaborated with TransUnion CIBIL to analyze bureau data and has created a comprehensive view of key lending trends in India. This year, we have also collaborated with GeoIQ and SatSure to gain deeper insights into climate change risks and potential use of alternate data for underwriting.

A number of BCG’s leading subject matter experts will be joining other industry leaders at the event to focus on key themes under the “Charting New Frontiers” agenda, including MSME lending, Consumer of the Future, Beyond Bureau - Harnessing the power of alternate data, Resilience and Risk Management, Unlocking Human and Digital Productivity, Next-Gen Tech, Gen AI, DPI 2.0, and Embracing New Capabilities.

Charting New Frontiers
India is entering a pivotal phase in its growth journey. Realizing long-term global relevance will require a banking system that drives - rather than just supports - economic activity, enabled by structural transformation.
