David Allred co-founded BCG Digital Ventures (BCG DV), Boston Consulting Group’s corporate venture investment and incubation firm which partners with the world’s most influential corporations to invent, launch, and scale industry-changing new businesses. He leads BCG DV’s Tech, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) practice area globally and previously led the firm’s Industrial Goods practice.

Over the last seven years, David has launched over 20 successful ventures with corporate partners across TMT, automotive and mobility, building materials, insurance, energy, and medtech. Many of these ventures share common roots in AI, IOT, cloud services, asset light business models, disruptive go-to-market models, and specialized ecommerce. His client work also focuses on partnering with executive teams to increase the pace and scale of innovation within their companies.

Prior to BCG DV, David spent nearly 15 years in industry where he co-founded and served in executive roles in the broadband, wireless, digital media, and ecommerce industries. He has a strong track record in raising venture funding for large scale ventures--several of which raised over $100 million and eventually became public companies. He also held previous leadership positions in a global consulting firm where he specialized in business model innovation and strategy.
