Matthew Schlueter is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Public Sector and Operations practices. He is also BCG’s global leader for Public Sector Defense & Security. From 2014, when he joined BCG, until 2022, Matt served as the President of BCG Federal Corp, a wholly owned BCG subsidiary focused on the US Federal Government market.

Matt has brought his experience to engagements in a wide range of industries including public sector, industrial goods, aerospace and defense, and technology. He specializes in working with clients on operating model strategy, supply chain management, program management, strategic assessment, acquisition excellence, procurement, and defense and security; and he has led large scale transformations across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Matt collaborates closely with client stakeholders--from those handling the day-to-day execution to the senior-most executives. His projects have delivered several billions of dollars in operational savings for clients, as well as significant performance improvements.

Prior to his consulting career, Matt served in the U.S. Air Force as a space and missiles officer and a foreign area officer.
