Pia Tischauser is Boston Consulting Group's global CAO (chief alumni officer). In addition, she serves on BCG’s global Liquid Asset Investment Committee. From 2016 to 2021, Pia served on BCG's global Executive Committee. She was the global Insurance practice leader from 2015 to 2021, and from 2007 to 2015 she led the firm’s global commercial insurance and reinsurance business.

Prior to those roles, Pia was responsible for the development and buildout of BCG’s Insurance practice across Switzerland and the UK. In 2013, she became part of the European management team holding the position of People Chair for that region. Over the years, she has chaired the officer promotion committee as well as the partner remuneration and evaluation committees, and led BCG's marketing and alumni efforts in Switzerland.

Since joining BCG in 1998, Pia has served clients in insurance, financial services and health care across Europe, the US, and Asia out of BCG’s Zurich, Chicago and London offices. Before coming to the firm, she worked as a program assistant for the Rochester-Bern Executive MBA and at the Finance Department of the University of Berne.

Pia is also a non-executive Director on the Board of Directors of Swiss Re and serves on its risk committee. Moreover, she serves on the board of trustees of the Zurich Zoo, the advisory boards of the Management Institute of the University of St. Gallen and of the Rochester-Bern Board certification program.
